Christopher Columbus sailed the ocean blue and proved that the earth is indeed round not flat. He is famously known for that. Schools fill schoolbooks with the discovery of Columbus and spread it like wild fire.We are just the puppet in the hands of God.

This is the same idea as when we go camping and we know that there are mountain lions and grizzly bears. When we see a bear, we scream and run away! Same thing, same concept. The bible mentions a dinosaur.

It also means to be separated by water. This event was a significant event enough that the father named one of his sons after the event.
