Yes. The Tanakh, Bible, or/and Quran feel(s) alive.

I am fascinated by the "flipsides" of myth/religion. We have long dead stories from the past. We have current alive "stories/myths" today. People are now reviving little used pagan and native american ways to heal mother earth. In the spirit of your oxymoronic post here - here is a sentence.

We will watch how all world religions/spiritualities very slowly mesh together and bring forth a jewish jesus praying to allah with contented face and harmonized body/soul (yin/yang) cross-legged sitting under the bodhi tree on mother gaia reaching up beyond his top chakra into purple nirvana imparting lessons for a better NOW and tomorrow.

Having fun putting all oymoronic terms into one sentence that brings us closer inward/outward. Please excuse for this inane profundity.

There is but not one, but many ways, to reach nirvana. May we all . . .

Re: Gentile Christian: An Oxymoron

Thank you all for the comments.

Perhaps this is why some people say that the Bible is actually....alive. You read few words but a million of things touch your heart. :-)

I hope to meet you one day, too. :-)

Re: Gentile Christian: An Oxymoron

Jesus was a Jew so that was how they looked out of their world to people who are "not like them" as Gentiles. Simple as that. That's all. As a human who was raised in Judaic (and other) traditions, I reserve my judgment of your definition of gentile. I googlize the term to go to dicitionaries, encyclopedias (both religious and secular), and the wiki and my eyebrow arched. Pagan, heathen, etc were found few there yet . . .

I am fascinated you both here. You read and type 1K words between the simple lines of few words phrased as allegorical truths passed on from generations to generations, from handwritten copies to handwritten copies, from the Aramaic to the English . . . .

I , several times, come to the website to be reminded how beautifully devoted you all feel for something - a prism of many sides of Yahweh, or whatever names we have for him/her/it/___.

Other reason why I view your vlogs is the way you both sign. Exemplary ASL.

Oxymoron. I love oxymorons and maybe that is why I visit this site with incredulous fascination.

Someday our paths will cross and I see your ASL in the flesh. Meanwhile, take care with blessings to you all from everything. G-dspeed.

My goodness, I should never called myself as a Gentitle!! It is the total opposite of who I am for my heart holds God's kingdom rather than coming from a "nation". I am a simpleChristan woman who just adores God and praises Him for what he had given us in our daily lives. The beauty of living planet and all of its inhabitants including us as humans. Wising you and your family a blessed season and 2009. Happy Christ-born Day!

Re: Gentile Christian: An Oxymoron

video commets from DVTV

Keeping this passage in mind,--Paul, the same writer of this verse also wrote the below.

"You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise." -Galatians 3: 27-29

Re: Gentile Christian: An Oxymoron

For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.
For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, weather we be Jews or Gentiles, weather we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.
